After the Earth was used up, we found a new solar system and hundreds of new Earths were terraformed and colonized.
[/ul]The central planets formed the Alliance and decided all the planets had to join under their rule.
[/ul]There was some disagreement on that point.
[/ul]After the War, many of the Independents who had fought and lost drifted to the edges of the system far from Alliance control.
[/ul]Out here, people struggled to get by with the most basic technologies.
[/ul]A ship would bring you work.
[/ul]A gun would help you keep it.
[/ul]A captain's goal was simple: find a crew.
[/ul]Find a job.
[/ul]Keep flying.
But something far more sinister is churning in the Alliance underbelly.
From the bowels of the same program that tortured River Tam comes a
disturbing tradition of survival of the fittest…The Reaping. A yearly, highly
secretive competition devised for only one purpose....to separate the weak
from the strong. Those that live find themselves the most feared assassins in
the ‘Verse. And their main target is… their kidnapped former schoolmate.

Browncoats and Brigands is a canon Firefly and Pitch Black role play set a short time after the last episode of the Firefly show. We do not include any of the events from the Serenity movie but the potential for similar events is always a possibility. We are also including some characters and locations from the Pitch Black genre as well as some board canons to add a little spice to both worlds.
