The Time of our Lives [Xander,Brad]

[Ana Bennett]

She had fell asleep on the phone with Xander up all night gossiping on her belly about his date with Bradley. It was super exciting and she couldn't contain herself in the least. Ana looked over the clock and the last thing she remembered was the clock showing 3 am the rest was a blur. Ana woke up to the sound of her brother drumming on the set in the other room. A yawn and and stretch later she jumped out of bed looking at her cell phone. It was off, it might have died she thought as she plugged it into the wall. The red light not turning on got her aggravated and she opened the back to see condensation. Ana blushed and tossed her phone on the bed running to her lap top with a email from Xander. She had a few minutes to get dressed she thought as she ran to the shower, quickly washing up. The small of cucumber melon wash wash waking her up. Once done she rushed down the hall into her room. Ana put on black leggings and tucked them into her hot pink Ugg boots. She put on a long sleeved pink sweater shirt that went a little past her waist, then tossed on some bracelets and earrings and ran to the bathroom. A quick blow dry and some loose curls to her hair and she was digging through her make up bag just putting on some light eyeshadow and some mascara. The sound of a car horn made her squeak and she booked it for the front door. Ana grabbed her purse and walked to Xander's car hopping in the passenger side. "Don't even bother trying to call the cell, I soaked it in drool last night." Ana said leaning over kissing his cheek. She listened to the radio and looked over the window for a moment. The leaves changing was beautiful yet the weather was getting colder. Ana looked over to Xander. "Oh this boy has no clue whats in store for him. An Ana and Xander wake up call." She said excited as she bounced a little in her seat getting hyper. "So apple picking, then we can go to my house make candy apples and bake apple pies!" She said throwing out her idea map for the day. When they arrived at the boy's house she looked up at it. It was pretty she liked the pumpkins outside and the autumn spirit. "So you think his moms going to just let us in?" Ana asked twirling a lock of her long hair.

[Xander Leo Connolley]

He pulled up to Ana's knowing this girl had crazy ideas in store and seemed to find his date night more interesting than he had but she was always like that. He honked his horn when he parked outside and he drummed his fingers on the steering wheel. When she hopped into the car he listened to her comments and her hyper attitude. He drove to Brad's and he glanced at Ana,"Candy apples, apple pie, Halloween movies and popcorn balls?" he suggested with a grin. He got out of the car and he shook his head at her words,"His mom is nice but let's do it this way shall we?" he said teasing as he walked around the yard to the side of the house. He picked up a few pebbles and tossed them at his window,"What light yonder window breaks it is the east" he teased as he climbed up and soon he was climbing through the boy's window,"Hey handsome wake up, rise and shine" he said as he crawled over to the boy's bed and he pulled the blankets off of him,"Come on pumpkin, we have plans today" he said.

Brad had been sleeping well the past couple nights he hadn't got any mean texts just cute ones from Xander. The sound of something hitting his window caused him to rollover and whimper. "Stupid birds." He mumbled in his half asleep state, Brad closed his eyes and soon enough the blankets were being ripped off him and he opened his eyes to see Xander. "5 minutes." Brad whined a little putting his pillow over his head. After a few second he knew he wasn't getting back to sleep. He forced himself to sit up and he smiled at Xander with sleep eyes. "Pumpkin?" Brad asked cocking his head, he thought for a moment and got up walking toward the bathroom. "Just wait right here, I'll be out quickly." Brad said walking into his bathroom taking a quick shower. Once he was done he wrapped a towel around his waist and brushed his teeth and combed his hair. Brad grabbed a couple cue tips and put one into his ear walking out of the bathroom looking at a new face. Brad twisted his cue tip and nodded then shook his head his cheeks turning pink. "This is new for me, give it a second." Brad said, There was a girl in his room while he was half naked this was a first. Brad walked over to his drawer grabbing his clothes for the day then he walked back into the bathroom. Brad got dressed and walked out of the bathroom looking at Xander. "I guessing this is Ana?" Brad said, he had remembered Xander mentioning her name the day he almost walked out of the musical. Looked between the two and smiled. "Okay, I'm down for anything but let's take the normal way out shall we?" Brad asked leading the two down to Xander's car he let Ana take the seat she wanted and got into the other. "So pumpkin what are the plans?" Brad asked with a smile teasing Xander's pet name choice.

"Just don't eat all the popcorn this time Romeo." Ana said watching Xander get up the side of the house, she followed his lead but the boy was already in the shower when she got there. Ana looked around in a state of shock looking at all the little action figures she smiled picking up the Darth Vader one and she showed Xander. She changed her voice for a moment. "Luke I am your father." She said giggling then she put him back on Brad's shelf. She looked at all the comic books and theater awards and laughed. "Xanderbear your boyfriend is a geek." She whispered the door knob turning catching her attention as she raised her eyebrow at the half naked boy. "Let me reference that, a cute geek." Ana says having a seat on the boy's bed. She looked around more then listened to Brad talk. It snapped her from her dazed state and smiled and nodded standing up hugging Brad. "Yes! I am Ana and your Brad McCall." She said squeezing him tight, she let go and looked over at Xander trying to contain the squeals she could produce at this point. She followed Brad down the stairs looking at the baby pictures on the walls and trophies. "Guess you play sports too." Ana said she hated boring like she hated awkward silence. Once outside she got in the back seat so Brad and Xander could be closer she poked her face in between the two boys and looked side to side. "No kisses?" She said pouting a little. She loved seeing Xander happy, she actually didn't even feel like a third wheel like she did when she was with that Jamey witch.

[Xander Leo Connolley]

He sighed and sat down waiting for Brad to get ready and when he came back in he watched as the two interacted and he rolled his eyes lightly at Ana's teasing. When brad was ready Xander got to his feet and he followed them outside and back into the car. He got in and he chuckled at Ana,"Ana, kisses just happen when they happen, you should know that" he said kissing her cheek. He started the car and pulled out heading for a drive thru coffee place first figuring it only fair to give Brad some caffeine. He pulled up and ordered his and Ana's usual on top of the same thing Brad had ordered the time they went to coffee together. He handed everyone their coffee and then continued the drive,"So this is Ana's fabulous idea of Apple picking Brad, I hope you can handle it, my idea was going to be the haunted corn mazes but she overrode me in voting" he teased,"We can always do corn mazes another day" he said sipping his coffee and pulling onto the dirt road before he cut the engine. "We ready?" he aske.

[Bradley McCall]

Brad smiled at the girls enthusiasm he could tell she had issues sitting still but how upbeat and friendly she was explained why she was Xander's best friend. Brad smiled and took his ice coffee and sipped it, he leaned back and looked out the window in thought while the car was getting back into motion. At Xander's words he looked over at him and giggled about Ana's idea. "Well, I can say I haven't picked in apple in a long time, nor have i climbed a tree." Brad admitted he started to over think in his head what if he embarrassed himself and fell of something like that. Then he pushed away the thought and rolled down the window letting the fresh air fill the car from all the apple trees as they drove the dirt path to the orchards. Brad reached over and took Xander's hand "We have all October to be terrified of the children of the corn." Brad said with his horror movie reference rubbing his thumb on the back of Xander's hand. That was a movie he didn't really like, the thought of running around in a corn maze with serial killer children not wanting you there. Once the car was stopped he got out and finished off his drink. He'd figured he'd probably need the caffeine to keep up with Xander and Ana. Brad walked up to the vender booth and got a bag for everyone handing them out. "Okay now, do we want green apples, Macintosh what?" Brad asking walking up one of the hills looking at all the trees. This would certainly be an adventure.

[Ana Bennett]

Ana grinned when Xander kissed her cheek. "You just don't want to suffice to my sick boy on boy fantasies." Ana pouted and crossed her arms over her chest. When they he put her head of the drive through window looking at the boy that served their order. "Your kinda cute, I'd give you my number but my phone no longer exists." Ana flirted as Xander started to drive she blew the boy a kiss rentered the car. "Ohhh you spoil me with caffeine and sugar you are a very dangerous one Xander-san" Ana said taking the drink and she sipped in down quite fast. The car went off and she was off and running through the field spinning around. Once Brad gave her a bag she walked up the fill looking around. "Well there are a lot of apples, but the best ones are up high." Ana said walking up the hill a little further then she saw it. A big red one. Ana walked over to the tree and looked down at her Ugg boots kicking them off. She put her foot on one branch then then forced herself up the tree. She was pretty close to the top as she sat on one of the branches looking down. "You two look so adorable way down there!" Ana shouted keeping balance.

[Xander Leo Connolley]

He followed in suit and he just walked along sipping his coffee holding the bag loosely in his hand. He watched as Ana twirled around and when Ana climbed the tree he sat underneath it,"Throw me down some, I ain't following you up there" he said as he held his bag open for her to toss them down into. He finished off his coffee before he glanced around and he smirked getting to his feet and he tackled Bradley to the ground. He chuckled and rolled around in the grass with him until they were both on their backs looking up at the clouds,"Sorry couldn't help myself," he laughed before he pulled Brad onto his chest and ruffled the boy's hair. "She's fun isn't she? Ana?" he asked Brad before he leaned down and kissed Brad's cheek lightly. he got to his feet pulling Brad up with him and he walked back to the tree holding Brad's hand,"You done up there monkey?" he hollered up to Ana.

Brad looked around at the apples and he reached up pulling one off the tree before examining it for worm holes. He stuck his tongue out his mouth a little in concentration. When he heard Ana speak he looked up at her and his eyes widened, he was caught off guard by Xander tackling him and he fell to the ground and laughed a bit. Brad listened to Xander's head beat and smiled. "Yeah fun is an understatement she is a ball of positive energy that's for sure. I see why she is your best friend, I like her." Brad admitted taking in the moment and Xander kissed his cheek he scrunched his nose and looked down shyly returning the kiss to Xander's cheek. Once they were back on their feet he intertwined his fingers with Xander's and giggled. "I thought monkeys eat bananas, she sure is unique up there with them apples."Brad teased waiting for Ana to join them. He walked around and grabbed a couple more apples. "We are going to have enough apples to last us all year you know this?" Brad asked walking up the hill more holding Xander's hand. Once up there he sat down on the grass, it was more work then he used to.

[Ana Bennett]

Ana giggled and looked around for the best apples tossing them down to Xander. Her eyes caught Xander and Brad in their lovey moment and she giggle. "Xander and Bradley under a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G." Ana said climbing down the tree she jumped and landing in front of the boys. "Correction Bradley, monkeys stereotypically eat bananas they also eat mangoes and other tropical fruits." Ana stated acting smart she looked and out the corner of her eyes she caught a gimps of him. She followed the boys up the hill in a daze lost for words. Her knees got weak and she big her bottom lip stuck in her own moment. "Xander, that's Jake Hayes he is in my Algebra 2 class!" Ana said fixing her hair. Jake was a junior she had never really talked to him except for the occasional asking for a pencil. "He can keep all my pencils if he gives me those brown eyes and that smile and those lips." Ana said reciting her thoughts with a seductive tone out loud. Ana shook herself from her thoughts and looked at the two boys. "Well don't just stand there Xander invite him over, he looks highly unamused and like he needs some entertainment." Ana whispered looking at Xander.

[Xander Leo Connolley]

He was a little spaced out as they walked further and he just barely caught Ana's words as he turned to her raising an eyebrow,"Ana are you kidding me? I don't even know the kid," he said as he absently squeezed Brad's hand. He looked up at the clouds tilting his head back a little bit. He sighed hearing Ana's little sighs of disappointment and he finally looked over at the kid,"Hey kid, looks like you have an admirer come over here would ya?" he said outting Ana as he always did. He chuckled and when he knew Ana was about to smack him for it, he pulled Brad back down the hill and laughed,"We'll meet you by the apple cider booths," Xander hollered to her before he led Brad away from the two. He sighed and leaned against the boy lightly as he took him down a path,"I really hate when she pushes things...we aren't even....an item" he muttered, it was beginning to get to him that he was being called cute and everything with brad but the two weren't even together. He loosely let go of Brad's hand and kept walking shoving his hands in his pants pockets.

[Jake Hayes]

Jake had been spending time in the apple orchard with his father and his father girlfriend. It was just another stupid family event day nothing he wanted to take part in. Jake walked alone looking at apples and small children while they had their little apple fights and were so excited to climb up trees. Why was it that he felt like he was the oldest teen here? Jake walked watching his sneakers. Something caught his interest and he looked over at the 3 teens his age. It brought curiosity so he walked toward it. "Ana!" Jake said, he had talked to her a few times in math class yet he was a little concerned at some of the things she mumbled. Jake smiled and looked around. "Well it's nice seeing someone who isn't completely old or still in single digits." Jake admitted with a chuckle he watched the two boys walk down the hill and cocked his head. "Your friends are leaving you sweetie." Jake informed looking into the girls eyes. She seemed to be in her own little world so he slipped his hand into hers and walked her down the hill slowly. "How has your day been so far?" Jake asked trying to get a conversation from the girl.

[Ana Bennett]

Ana felt Xander push her and she looked at him stomping her feet then when she saw Jake coming she swallowed her spit and tilted her head. When he spoke she said nothing just watching his lips form words and nodded. "Yeah, it is well I mean it was my idea to come here but I'm glad I didn't let Xander talk me out of it." She said looking around then she spotted Xander and she narrowed her eyes. Ana looked to Jake and smiled walking with him, she squeezed his hand a little trying not to act weird. Thou she was at times. "My day has been good so far. I had an extreme night planned as well but it looks like that might be canceled" Ana said disappointed. At the bottom of the hill she watched Brad and Xander, she had no clue what was going on in Xander's mind right now but she would find out. "How was your day lovey?" She said turning her attention back to Jake. Once she got a response she walked over to the apple cider stand and looked between Jake and Xander. "But me one please?" She asked giving her adorably cute smile and when he was distracted she walked over and grabbed Xander's hand leading him away from the stand. "What's going on with you? Where the heck is your head right now?" She asked shifting her weight to one said awaiting a response.

[Bradley McCall]

Brad watched Ana be all girly over Jake Hayes, he knew the boy from Lacrosse.The boy was pretty nice and comical most of the time. Brad watched the boy come over and soon enough he was being dragged away. Brad walked down the hill, he gained balance and listened to Xander talk. He was about to speak before Xander let go of his hand and he looked down and grabbed his forearm rubbing it. Brad wasn't quite sure what was going on with Xander but this was the second time he had noted a mood swing. Brad was used to it from Eli, and occasionally he;d have them himself but he didn't want Xander to push him away. Brad walked up to the stand and got a bottle of water he sat on a bench watching Xander. "I'm sorry I think I missed something care to explain what's wrong?" Brad asked. Brad spun the cap to his water and took a long drink before standing up and standing right in front of Xander. "You know how you said you would fix me, well I want to fix you too so I need to know what's wrong before I can get the duct tape." Brad said with a hesitant smile and before he knew it Ana was in a bit of rage dragging Xander off. Brad looked down and walked over to Jake having a seat. "Lovely day were having." Brad said, he didn't say too much to the lacrosse captain off the field but it was another new experience he guessed.

[Xander Leo Connolley]

He listened and fidgetted with his keys in his pocket as Bradley spoke and he watched his feet now as he listened. He wasn't trying to be this way but it was like every time he felt things were ok or going alright, he couldn't let them because things weren't how he wanted them to be, things weren't right, he was beginning to feel like some sort of back up plan and though he knew that wasn't the case he didn't like feeling like he was just filling the void of Kaleb. He looked up at Brad, he couldn't tell the boy that but before he could even open his mouth to conjure up words he was being dragged off by Ana. He yanked his arm from her and looked her over,"Don't grab me like that,"

[/color] he told her as he stepped back from her. He looked over his shoulder at the pair and then back to her before looking down at his shoes,"This isn't right Ana..." he said his voice broken as he kept his head down,"I'm just a boy to fill the void and I know it..." he muttered as he rubbed the back of his neck now. He looked up at her with broken eyes before he shook his head and handed her her apple bag,"I'll be in the car" he said as he pulled his keys from his pocket and walked toward the make shift parking lot with his head down. He got in the car leaving his door open as he turned on the music and hummed along to it, leaning back in his seat closing his eyes.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
