She jumped and Ryder put his arm around her shoulders and nodded holding her close taking a few bites of his popcorn here and there and every time she jumped he squeezed her abit to reassure her she was ok and safe with him. But when she pulled out her phone he read over her shoulder and he shook his head, yeah sick? Ok dumb ass... He sighed and when the movie was over after much jumping from Katie and his popcorn bag and drink cup empty, he kept hold of her when she went to get up to leave,"Lets wait for the credits to finish and let the theater clear,"

[/color] he suggested not wanting to risk them bumping into Drew and Bianca. He watched the credits roll and when they were done he got to his feet and he stretched and turne to face the seats but his eyes widened when he saw Bianca and Drew in their seats still, making out hard core. He tried to look down and he reached out to take Katie's cheek in his hand to turn her to look at him and when she was about to look over her shoulder, Ryder didn't know what else to do, grabbed her hand and pulled her to her feet and in a swift movement he had her by the waist and he locked his lips with hers, he'd take the smack for it if he had to, but he couldn't let her see them like this.[/center]

[Katie Matlin]

Katie, sound herself leaning into Ryder feeling safe while he had his arm around her. When the movie was finished watching the movie and she giggled talking about the best parts with him, but he was paying too much attention to what was going on behind him, she turned her head and before she knew it she was on her feet being kissed. She realized he was kissing her and she shoved him away smacking him as hard as she could. He hand was stinging. "What's wrong with you, I have a boyfriend!" Katie shouted looking at him awaiting an answer. She wondered if he was trying to make someone jealous or something so she looked at what she intended to look about before she was interrupted and saw it. She felt her heart shatter as she watched her boyfriend making out with Bianca. Broken, more then she had ever felt, she felt her eyes brim with tears and she went with anger instead. Katie walked up the stairs and stood at the end of the isle. "You! Your sick, you make me sick Drew Torres, how could you!?" Katie said and before she cried she walked down the stairs looking over at Ryder. Now she understood why he kissed her she looked down then back up at him. "I'm so sorry." Katie confessed as she looked back at Drew and Bianca shaking her head, she ran out of the theater, and outside almost falling. She was thinking about drugs, anything to kiss this pain. Her body was shaking and she took off her heels, holding them together with one hand. She walked a bit and felt all the tears that she had been holding back run down her freckled cheeks. What was she going to do? She sat down on the sidewalk curb and put her face in her hands and cried to herself. This was horrible, everything was true and she was foolish for not seeing it.

SMACK as if he hadn't expected it... He looked at her and it was too late to distract her from seeing it now and he rubbed his cheek with his hand and before he could grab her, she was already up the stairs and yelling her disgust at Drew. When she apologized to him Ryder shook his head and was going to open his mouth but she took off. He scowled at Drew and Bianca before rushing after Katie and when he exited the theater he almost didn't see her but there she was, on the curb. He sighed and took his letter jacket off and walked over to her draping it over her shoulders and he crouched down beside her and reached over wiping away her tears,"You're too beautiful to cry Katie..."

[/color] what was he doing? he didn't call girls beautiful, sexy and hot maybe, but beautiful? He shook it off and he didn't wait for her to react as he scooped her up in his arms bridestyle and walked to his car and he set her in the passenger seat before he got in the driver seat and looked at her pushing her hair behind her ear now,"I'm sorry...I should have told you"[/color] he said for the first time feeling guilty for not being a snitch.[/center]

[Katie Matlin]

Katie felt his jacket over her and she looked up him sniffling "If I'm so beautiful why do things like this happen to me?" She said crying a bit more shaking, she tried to breath and before she knew it she was in his arms and she couldn't help but to want to be comforted and she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head on his chest. She was put into the car and she allowed him to move her hair from her face his words had her confused as she put her hand on his chest. "Don't be sorry, you were trying to spare my feelings and I know it, please don't be sorry." Katie said, he wasn't the boy she wanted to be hearing apologizes from. Katie wiped her tears, she must have looked horrible, she gazed down into her lap. "All that work, for nothing..." Katie said she was unsure of what she should do now with her relationship, she felt so cold, so broken. "What am I going to do?" She said looking to Ryder for an answer even though she knew she'd have to make that decision overall but she wanted advice. She felt alone and she climbed over the middle council and got into his lap resting her head on his chest listening to his heart beat now.

He watched her, observing every bit of her body language and how she expressed herself through it and when asked his advice he wasn't going to answer but now she was in his lap. He sighed and wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her head,"What should you do? Katie... you should find someone who will treat you right and not treat you like a pawn in a boardgame,"

[/color] he said softly as he breathed in the scent of her hair and he smiled abit closing his eyes and rubbing her back abit. He pulled back and kissed her forehead and lifted her chin wiping the excess water from her tears off her face,"You are too good for that Katie, and if he is too stupid to choose you, then thats his loss, cause I'd choose you any day over some girl like her," [/color] he said and here he went again being sweet and he pushed the negative comments to the back of his head to himself and he held her tighter,"You deserve to be happy,"[/color] he whispered.[/center]

[Katie Matlin]

Katie felt a bit comforted when he held on to her and she listened, it was true she deserved to be loved and not be someones second choice and with his next words she actually smiled, and although she was feeling so horrible that made her happy. She enjoyed the kisses and the way Ryder make her feel anything but empty. "You know, before I remembered I was with Drew I enjoyed that kiss." Katie admitted with a slight giggle and she felt a vibration, she grabbed her bag and pulled out her phone and saw a text from Drew and she got a little angry and ignored it, not even opening it. She tossed her purse to the passengers seat and she looked into Ryder's eyes and brought her hand to his jawline and traced it with her fingertips. "You have beautiful eyes." She whispered, she didn't want Ryder to feel like a rebound or anything but she couldn't help to want to get close to him at this current time. She had been doing so all day anyways. Katie bit her bottom lip, and smiled a bit. "Thank you for staying by my side. Your really sweet, you know that?" She said just getting lost in his eyes.

He was abit intrigued by her words and he just held her for a long moment, rocking her slightly in his arms and when she commented on his eyes he smiled,"You have pretty eyes too Katie,"

[/color] he whispered. He listened as she thanked him and he shook his head abit,"No thanks needed Katie, I know if something happened and I needed you, you'd be there for me..."[/color] he said in honesty. He had the urge to kiss her again right this moment but he fought it for his own sake as well as hers. He may be this tough guy but with how the night had been going and his thoughts, he didn't think he could handle being just her rebound if Drew happened to somehow miraculously get her to forgive him. He glanced down abit and shifted and picked her up putting her back in her seat,"can I take you home and make sure you get there safe and sound?"[/color] he asked, he hoped he wouldn't hurt her feelings by his actions, but he just couldn't do it because he knew it could hurt both of them in the long run. He looked down at the steering wheel,"Katie...I like you a lot...but I'm not going to do anything foolish with the fact holding in the balance that you may end up back with him...right now I have to spare both our feelings"[/color] he figured if he explained she would understand.[/center]

[Katie Matlin]

Katie batted her eye lashes at his compliment and smiled. When he denied her thanks she nodded and accepted the fact that he was correct. She would help him if some girl did something messed up like what was going on with her and Drew. Katie was placed into her seat and she buckled her seat belt and looked over at him while he spoke. "I couldn't live with myself if I hurt you like that, just because I'm hurt doesn't mean I'd want to drag you down with me, and yes you can drive me home." Katie said as she leaned back in her seat, she just didn't want to get into anything that would put her back into rehab, she wasn't sure if being alone was a good idea just yet, but she'd embrace whatever happened. When they arrived at her house she opened the car door, grabbing her purse and heels. She allowed him to walk her to her front porch looking up at him. "Well, thanks for a good night, sorry it had to end so soon and somewhat badly." Katie said looking down at her bare feet. She bit her bottom lip and pushed her hair behind her ears and looked back up at him with a smile. "I like you too, your really sweet and compassionate, like I said before your really not an asshole Ry, even if you think so." Katie said as she put her shoes and purse on the ground moving close to him, wrapping her arms around him, hugging him tight. She inhaled listening to the sound of his heart beat.

He was thankful that she felt the same about not dragging him into it and not hurting feelings that didn't need to be hurt. When they reached her house he got out of the car and opened the door for her and walked her to her front door. He noticed she still had his jacket on and he smiled, he'd let her have it for now and maybe in the future he'd ask for it back, but not right now. When she said she liked him he grinned and he hugged her back and stroked her hair abit,"Are you gonna be alright by yourself? Is someone else home with you?"

[/color] he asked not wanting to leave her in a bad mindset by herself, if he needed to stay or if she wanted him to stay, he would to make sure she was alright and to make sure she didn't harm and damage herself over the situation with Drew.[/center]

[Katie Matlin]

Katie smiled, she looked in the yard and her parents car was there, she knew she wasn't alone now but she didn't want to let him go just yet. "Well my parents are home, yet that didn't stop me from anything in the past, but you can come in for a little bit, we can hang out, talk you know." Katie said hoping he would go along with it. When he did she went into her purse and pulled out her house keys opening the door before grabbing her shoes. Katie looked over her shoulder. "You coming?" She asked taking his hand leading him into the house. She heard her parents in the kitchen and she shook his head. "I have company." Katie shouted as she pulled Ryder up the stairs. She'd show him her room. Katie saw Maya in the hall and she smiled waving before walking into her room with Ryder closing the door. She had many trophies from soccer and volleyball and martial arts all around, pictures from high school, and some feminine products, a couple posters on the wall. She walked over and sat on her bed petting the spot beside her. She grabbed her Ipod controller and aimed it at the speakers turning on the music she used when she did tai chi. It was meditation music, soothing that's what she needed right now and it set a nice mood. She sat Indian style and smiled at Ryder. "So, what you going to do when you get home, besides think of what an amazing time you had with Katie Matlin?" She asked teasing him a little she didn't know much about him, he was still a mystery to her in more ways then one.

He followed her inside and up to her room and gave a nod of hello to her little sister. When in her room he sat on her bed and watched her turn on music and sit down,"I'm going to probably watch a movie or something until I pass out, and then dream about the amazing Katie Matlin,"

[/color] he said teasing her a little bit as he winked at her. He ruffled his hair for a moment and he observed her,"You're going to be alright right? I would hate to see you turn into a mess over all of this Katie,"[/color] he said as he now sat closer to her and pushed some hair behind her ear brushing his fingertips along her cheek. He looked into her eyes,"You're perfect and he's a fool for letting you slip through his fingers,"[/color] he whispered as he rested his forehead against hers and he was so entranced by her and he couldn't help it any more as he brought his lips to hers for real this time and kissed her.[/center]

[Katie Matlin]

She smiled about his dream comment and then she found herself moving closer to him looking into his eyes. "You think I'm perfect...I'm far from but I guess a persons imperfections can make them seem perfect to someone special." She whispered, and when her forehead was on his she got butterflies, what was she doing? She didn't break up with Drew but there was something about Ryder, the way he spoke and presented himself that pushed her last thoughts into the back of her mind and she kissed him back. Allowing her tongue to dance with his, in a kiss of passion and when she couldn't breath any more she pulled away, biting her bottom lip, she cheeks a shade of pink now. Katie looked down at the patterns of her blanket lost for words but she spoke. "Your amazing, you make me feel like a girl should feel in a relationship make me feel pretty, and special and wanted even." She said looking back up allowing her eyes to meet his again. Katie couldn't help but to smile when looking at Ryder but she didn't want him to feel like a default not at all. He was too special, to perfect for that. She moved closer so now she was actually in his lap and she allowed her finger to brush against his cheek bones and she closed her eyes and kissed him again, this time a bit longer as she ran her fingers along the back of his neck. She wasn't innocent Katie anymore, she couldn't help but to want to feel loved though and she pulled away laying back on her bed looking up at him. She took his hand in hers and pulled him to lay down with her. "I like this, I was just in the most horrible position you could find yourself in..and you made it better. I had a perfect night just because you were involved Ryder." Katie admitted with a smile moving closer to him wrapping her arm around his waist, she wasn't quite sure how okay she would be when he left but she'd think about him all night and maybe that would put her temptations to rest.

He was abit lost in his own thoughts as he kissed her and when she pulled away he ruffled his hair and exhaled slowly before finding himself listening to her words and once again captured in another kiss. He kissed her back with as much passion as he could possibly muster and when he pulled away this time he smiled genuinely and he reluctantly lay down beside her when she pulled him down with her. He glanced up at the ceiling for a moment as he skimmed his bottom lip with his teeth. "I'm just glad I could be around you Katie, and I'm glad that I could make your night feel better,"

[/i]he said as felt her arm around him and he wrapped an arm around her and gently rubbed her back. Many thoughts crossed his mind at this point and most of them included what would happen come school? Would she go back to Drew and fix things with him? or would they actually break up and he'd have a chance with her? A real one...He closed his eyes as he thought about it. he just wished for once she would take the time to consider herself before others and not in a bad way. Yeah he had heard many things about her problem and she had heard about how she had been selfish in using Bianca for her own reasonings, but would she be selfish enough to just go back with Drew? he shook it off getting too lost in his thoughts and he glanced at her for a moment,"Umm soo..." he muttered not knowing what to talk about at the moment but he knew he couldn't just leave either.[/center]

[Katie Matlin]

Katie watched and observed Ryder when he became silent she thought for a moment about what to say, she could tell he was having mixed emotions now. She cleared her throat, "Whats on your mind right now?" She said, Katie was always on to speak her mind and be honest she hoped Ryder was as well. But deep down she sort of had a clue what he was thinking and the worried look in his eyes spoke all. Katie thought for a moment, her worst mind set kicked in and she looked away from Ryder. "You think I'm going to use you, or hurt you?" Katie said a little disappointed. She didn't want Ryder to over think everything that was going on but she knew he was as was she herself. She knew Drew had a way with words, and she knew he'd come up with some kind of sob story to tell her why he acted that way, and it would have to do with her being away for so long but she was smarter then most people thought. Katie sat up and ran her fingers through her hair, she wasn't one to walk away from a problem. "I can't hurt you, and I've heard it all before, the lies, the excuses the miss lead judgment and I can't say I'd never forgive him, and I can't promise I wont cry or screw up but I can tell you this." She said looking over at him now right into his eyes as she chewed the inside of her cheek. "I wouldn't put someone through the feeling that I felt tonight, and I'm not your average girl that allows someone to get away with hurting me, or people I care about. An I love you, is strong and not something someone can just say to get forgiveness." Katie said as she pushed her own hair behind her ears lost on what else she could say at this moment, she needed him to just say anything, to be honest with her.

When she sat up, he sighed and allowed his arm to fall from her and he raised an eyebrow at her words before he sat up and he glanced toward the door before looking back to her taking in her words as he glanced down now. "I trust you....its him I don't trust" he said really not knowing how else to explain it to her. He ruffled his hair and now he got to his feet in his own debate of whether to leave her with her thoughts. He walked over to the window putting his hands in the pockets of his jeans as he looked out of it. "I'm just... I won't be a rebound Katie this is a warning to you, if I feel for a second that your going to pick him after everything he's putting you through... I don't know how I'll handle it but it won't be pretty" he said. He looked at the stars and he chewed the inside of his cheek,"I would hope you're as smart as I know you can be when it comes to this, when he's right infront of you...I hope your strong enough,"' he said being honest with everything crossing his mind right now. There was a reason he was the way he was, and nice wasn't something he was except for for her. He scowled abit at himself and shook his head,"Just be careful and make your decisions wisely," he said softly.
