Junior year was finally here and Donnie was actually pretty excited. He had survived his first two years at Degrassi with little to no drama despite what his parents told him when they talked about their years at Degrassi. It wasn't just them, though... many of his friends were claiming that each person had their own individual dramatic moments one way or another, but Donnie failed to partake in any drama whatsoever. Maybe he was one of the lucky ones. Nonetheless, Donnie wanted to keep it that way. He didn't want to ruin any chances he had at going to a big name college in the states. His parents had high hopes and dreams for him and he couldn't let them down just because someone wanted to pick a fight with him or a girl wanted to sleep with him.
It was in the afternoon and Donnie decided he wanted to shoot some hoops at the gym. Normally, the gym was closed at this time of the day, but there was a benefit to being the captain of the team. He had his own personal key that the coach gave him and he utilized it accordingly. Walking into the gym with his Degrassi Basketball apparel on, Donnie set his backpack down on the bleachers before going over the the equipment closet and grabbing a basketball out of a bucket. He bounced it a few times before throwing it high in the air from the three point line and swishing it into the goal. Nothing but net.
A smile and chuckled emerged on Donnie's face as he said to himself, "Everything's just perfect..." Which is really was. Donnie's life was in complete control right now and he wasn't going to let anyone else do a thing about it. He was hard to influence in a negative manner. He shot another shot before he heard a creak at the door behind him. He thought the school was mostly empty, but that didn't stop someone from walking by the gym when they heard a few bounces of a basketball. It appeared Donnie had company at this moment and time.

cat was getting used to degrassi, sure it wasn't her old school back in california but it was nice to be in a place where she felt like she really couldn't do just whatever she wanted. if that didn't sound weird, or anything. it's just that, when you could do just about whatever or whoever you wanted all your life you never really ever got that feeling of 'i'm grounding you, or doing this, because i love you too much to see anything bad happen to you.' at her old school, cat could tell her teacher to fuck off; leave class; get high in the bathroom; then sleep with some on the the dugout. and the most she got was a detention. and when those rare phone calls home happened, her mom would just listen then hang up and pretend like nothing happened when cat got home. here at degrassi, she hadn't been caught her first day skipping since she went so late she couldn't even sign in. but it felt nice having discipline and some authority in her life.
it was after school hours, the girl found herself wandering the halls after getting some help from a teacher. she looked down towards her feet at her brand new creepers. she ordered them a few days ago, and was so excited to finally be wearing them. she noticed a lot of girls looking at her, oddly, with how she dressed. cat wasn't into wearing things that made her blend in. for instance, that day, she had her long sleeved shirt tucked in to her high waist shorts with white tights. as cat walked past the gym, hearing some one bouncing a basketball. the girl, naturally being curious, peaked her head inside. she saw the familiar face, donnie she thought his name was, playing basket ball and she smiled a little. whenever she'd hear some one talking about the boy, it was always about his drive towards the sport. the girl slid herself in the gym through the crack of the opened door, not wanting to disturb the boy too much.
outfit click notes eh this will get better, promise!

Intrigued by who ever was at the door, Donnie turned completely as he face the door. It was about ninety feet away, so Donnie couldn't exactly make out who was peeking in the doorway. It kind of flattered him that someone was spying on him, but he wanted to know who it was. "You can come into the gym, I promise I won't bite." Donnie lifted his arm as he held the basketball in the other hand, he waved his hand forward, an indication that he had no problem with company in the gym with him. He dropped his hand and sighed when the person didn't exactly move.
A smile emerged on his face as he walked towards the door before picking up speed a bit and stopping once he opened the door for the girl. A red head... though it didn't look natural. Donnie had never seen her around the school before... he was pretty sure he would be able to tell who she was if he knew her. She had a distinct aura about her. Donnie laughed a little and smiled saying, "You could have came inside if you wanted to. I'm not like my teammates, I won't bite you for interrupting a practice." Donnie wasn't like many of his fellow teammates, he was actually a pretty nice guy that didn't rub his popularity in someone's face.
