Emily sighed as she was handed her detention slip, rolling her eyes once the teacher turned his face. Fuck. She suffered through the last thirty minutes of her class with a scowl on her face. So what if she had made a joke of the teacher's outfit? So what if she hadn't done her homework for the second time this week? The last time Emily had checked, she didn't need Math to get her into an Arts school. Once the bell rung, she easily stood and gathered her things, thinking of this detention as nothing more than a detour on her way to the fastest hitting party on her street.
She would just have to be fashionably late is all.
Entering the detention room, she gave the supervising teacher the slip and slid into a seat close to the back of the room, pulling her sketchbook from her bag as she did so. Emily brushed back her white and blue bangs; wearing her hair down often proved to be a mistake but today it was actually behaving, which made the girl a little less irritable. Flipping the pages of her cream colored sketchbook, Em sighed and reached up to play with her anti-eyebrow piercing, twisting the barbel eagerly in her skin.
Piercings was just one way she stood out. Her hair was another. Emily yawned behind her pale hand, realizing that this detention wasn't going to be a short detour. She had nearly 90 minutes of this, and it wasn't going to be all doodles and kawaii rainbows.276

Kade didn't much pay attention to females these days and when this new girl had passed by him in the hall he had been quite impressed and when nudged by Dallas, he made the move and whistled, followed by a stream of vulgarities, "Oh baby, you have a pretty mouth, bet it would look even better around my massive..." he didn't even get the words out before little miss 5'4" had him up against the lockers swearing at him and threatening to put her little emo boy boyfriend onto him the next time he opened his mouth, the thing that happened next though caught him off guard when her fist collided with his face. Kade grabbed her quickly by the throat, lifting her so her toes barely touched the ground, "Bitch I'll fuckin kill you" he growled but before he could do anything else, he was forced to drop her and both were handed detention slips. Kade scowled and shoved Dallas before he made his way to his locker and gathered his things, this female was going to pay later on for that, now he had to miss a practice over this. He walked into the detention room and sat down, a smug look on his face as he glanced out the window but when he got bored he looked infront of him at the colorful hair and he tilted his head. He leaned forward his face right next to the girl's ear, "What ya doin?" he mused his voice soft and somewhat eery as he looked over her shoulder in curiosity.

Her mom wasn't going to be happy. Neither was her father. Although, Emily didn't care either way; they were never home to actually scold her, and when they were, it was simply 'Em, go to your room.' That wasn't fun at all. As she finished her simple sketch of her own creation (simply a dog but with a spiked tail and a bow in its fur) she smiled before a breath of air hit her. She froze, the boy's close proximity to her only making her skin tingle. She leaned to the other side and tilted her head towards him, narrowing her eyes at him.
Who did he think he was?
"Sorry, but I don't believe we're allowed to talk." Em replied curtly, returning her attention to her drawing. Although, she knew that they were both here for a reason. The very thought of someone talking to her only made the engraved antisocialism rear hard in her, but they both had at least 90 minutes to kill. Finding her attention split, Emily sighed and closed her sketchbook, reaching up to rub her temples. "Look, I just want to finish this stupid detention and get out. I got things to do."
Emily wasn't one to talk to people, especially when she had better things to do like draw, but hey. He started it, and now hopefully, she'd be able to finish it.236

She moved and he tilted his head and sat back resting his feet on the lower half of the back of her chair and he ruffled his hair as he looked her over,"A girl like you has things to do?" he questioned as he raised an eyebrow at her. He bit his bottom lip and chuckled,"I'm obviously here for a reason and uh following rules isn't my style so hence why I'm here so you can either talk to me or you can go back to your little scribbles and ignore the world miss antisocial" he sneered as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on the desk and his chin in the palm of his hand,"What are your better things to do any way? Cus trust me I have a hockey team to be running ragged but you don't see me bitchin do ya?" [/i] he mused as he rolled his eyes. He reached over and snatched the sketchbook from her and opened it thumbing through it, "Not bad...not bad"[/i] he whispered amused.[/center]

Emily rolled her eyes at him. "Yes I have things to do," she huffed. Who the hell was he to just talk to her like that? Actually, who was she to even respond to him? It wasn't like her! Emily bit the inside of her cheek and looked at the chalkboard, determined not to let him get under her skin. Not only did she not give less than a couple of fucks about who he was or why he was even in here, he called her 'miss antisocial'! Wow, what grade was he in, freshmen?
Rolling her eyes again, she sighed as she felt his feet on the back of her chair. That was annoying. Hockey huh. Typical. Emily could already hear the reason why he was in detention; yelling at a teammate, punching them out, what-have-you. But before she could do anything, he snatched her sketchbook. Blue eyes widening and her mouth opening, she twisted in her seat and reached for it, painted fingernails grasping the book.
"Hey! Hey, don't." Emily gasped softly. No one touched her sketchbook, not even her sister! She pulled the notebook towards her, glaring at him. "Give me my fucking book back." She hissed softly at him. 208

She moved so quickly to retrieve it that now he knew it must be special and of importance. He snapped it shut and held it at a fair distance where she couldn't reach it,"I'll give it to you, on one condition" he mused as he looked her over, she looked kind of cute when she was all hot and bothered. He chuckled and when she reached again he moved the book further from her reach,"You take me wherever it is you have to go to so badly after detention" he said raising an eyebrow, if she had important places to be, it must be something big and Kade knew how to scope a person who knew a good time and she looked like a partier with a secret or two. He moved the book just slightly into her reach and when she reached again, he pulled back,"Ah ah ah, agree to it," he said as he looked her in the eyes and he pulled out a lighter and flicked it just inches away from the sketchbook,"So you taking me or not?"

Her book! Emily's eyes were trained on the book; she didn't even give the jock a good look over. Surely the teacher had to see this... wait, did she want the teacher involved? Looking away for just a few seconds, Em did a quick take on the teacher, who was busy grading papers. She'd have to keep her voice down if she didn't want another detention. Turning her attention back to the boy, she grit her teeth together, forcing the metal in her lower lip to scrape against her pearly whites.
This wasn't fair on so many levels!
"Don't!" Emily nearly shouted as he flicked the lighter just inches away from her precious sketchbook. She was nearly out of her seat trying to reach for the book that held so much of her in it. God he was such an asshole! She never should have brought her book out. Thinking about what he was offering and what he was going to do if he didn't get it, Emily sat back down in the chair and brushed her hair back, glaring at the boy.
"Fine. Fine! You can come with me but you're getting your own ride there and back." Emily finally relented, flipping her hair back over her shoulder. "Give me my fucking book back, now." Emily hissed, reaching now with a single hand outstretched to him. 234

At her shout to stop, he closed the lighter and pocketed it before he listened for her deal and he nodded and handed it back to her slowly,"But I have a better idea, why don't you let me take you in my Audi?" he asked as he raised an eyebrow at her, most girls swooned over not only him, but his expensive vehicle. He chuckled to himself and knew she wasn't going to be the swooning type as he ruffled his hair again and he glanced at the clock,"You ready to blow this popsicle stand early?" he asked and on cue his distraction came in, one of his hockey buddies yelling about some fight in the bathroom, which of course, Kade knew not to be real and he watched the teacher get up to deal with it. he got to his feet and took the girl by the hand glancing over to Matt and the Julia girl and he nodded a goodbye to his best guy friend before pulling this girl out the door and down the hall with him,"Didn't expect that did you?" he mused as he let go of her hand and headed out the front doors and to the parking lot where he reached his car and opened the door for her,"Don't scratch it, make sure your shoes aren't dirty," he said before getting in on the driver side.

When he handed her the book, Em protectively snatched it and held it against her, very glad she had conditioned herself to such a point where most of her emotions could be hidden by a careful glare. What a jerk! An asshole, the face of jocks and the face of arrogance, something she just couldn't stand. Irritated with him and virtually ready to snap, she just scoffed when he told her his 'better idea'. "Honestly? No." Emily snapped. She turned away from him, hoping her shut down had been enough. It wasn't. In came what looked like a hockey goon, hollering about a fight.
Teacher got up and ran, eagerly ditching his wards for the afternoon. Emily sat there slightly stunned. He had obviously done this before. Only slightly impressived, Emily leaned back and sighed, before his hand found her's and with a jolt she was up and out of her seat, being pulled towards the door. With a slight growl she just barely had time to reach back and grab her bag, slinging it over her shoulder as this guy dragged her out of the detention room.
She didn't even know his name!
Emily didn't bother giving him an answer lest it stroke his little ego a little more. She followed him out to his car, staring at it. He was a rich kid with an ego. Typical. Rolling her eyes at his statement, she went to the passenger seat and opened the door, stashing her bag at her feet as she got in. Turning in her seat to face him, Emily brushed back her hair and gave him her best glare. "Listen. I don't even know who you are. Thanks for bailing us out but you really don't have to drive me to the party."
The party was on her street; she sort of didn't want him knowing where she lived. 321
