Lilly sat alone in computer lab, earphones on blaring music so that she couldn't hear anybody around her. She didn't want to be interrupted if someone walked in. She was checking out the Degrassi school web site for the first time. She just wanted to see what they had on the dance team. It sounded great, really. The cocaptain seemed alright, Lilly met her the day before.
Bianca made her dance for her. Lilly could've easily refused because Bianca never told her who she was, but she just danced for no reason other than to show off to the person who was asking. The experience was interesting, especially since the brunette never thought she'd have the nerve to talk to one of the captains of the dance team. She was happy she did, and ended up feeling better about not having dance classes anymore. The team's dance type seemed different than what she's used to though. It seemed to be more modern than structured, but she took that as a challenge. This was something she'd overcome, she decided as she hummed to the song that was playing.

Late, he had been late for school due to the fact he was freaking out about his chemistry lab. He hadn't finished it over night, but science wasn't his strong suit. Brandon was in advanced placement math so most of his teachers couldn't understand why he was barely passing chemistry. Brandon walked through the doors of Degrassi. His black skinny jeans hugs him nicely, along with his neon green and black graphic t-shirt. Brandon high topped sneakers squeaked across the linoleum floors as he B lined it down to his locker. Once there Brandon looked at the clock as he debated going into chemistry class late with a half ass lab he decided against it. He'd make his way to the computer lab and finish out, or attempt to finish his assignment.
Brandon gathered his supplies and walked past the main office grabbing a late pass. Then he was on his way to the computer lab. He opened the door, the place looked fairly empty cept for one girl. Brandon scratched his head walking in and he sat not too far from her. He was pretty sure she was his new dance member due to the fact he saw Bianca and her walking out the gym the other day. Brandon turned on the computer logging into his school account. He opened the internet window and browsed through formulas. Then it his him, Lilly, her name was Lilly, he had gotten a text from another member of the dance squad with that information but now it was time for conversation. Brandon noticed her ear buds in, he waved to her trying to get the girls attention, and when he did he spoke. "Lilly... right?... I'm Brandon I hear your part of my dance squad as of recently. I'm the head choreographer in that department." Brandon said looking at the computer, he wasn't quite sure of she was looking back but why not check. Brandon let his eyes shift over to the girl, and he smiled, his dimples sinking in his cheeks. "Your new here, How do you like it so far?" He asked awaiting a response. [/font]

Lilly smiled to herself as she read the information the site had on the dance team. She was pleased with what she'd read and decided that she wanted to be on the dance team, and she wasn't second guessing it. She was sure with a little hard work she'd get the choreography down. She'd have to let Bianca know she wanted to give it a try for sure. She saw someone wave at her from the corner of her eye and she turned. Taking off her earphones she flashed the boy a smile. She nodded as he asked for her to confirm her name. "Nice to meet you, Brandon," she told him, sinking back into her chair as she turned it to him. "Yes, I'm looking to try the team out. It sounds like a lot of fun," she answered him kindly. She felt a bit more confident now that Bianca spoke to her about the team. She felt she had a chance, so why not hold her chin up higher?
"Degrassi's been pretty great as of late," Lilly answered truthfully. She'd had a good week. Making a few friends really made a difference in her. She felt a lot better about staying at Degrassi. She just hoped it would stay this good, more friends, less drama. Things were working out. "Met a lot of people, found a few things I want to join, it's a lot of fun. Thanks for asking." She grinned. "Congrats on getting head choreographer." She recognized how much work that most likely took him to get. Hard work was always something to respect.

Brandon nodded along with Lilly as she spoke, he was glad she was finding her place at Degrassi. Degrassi was a bit more hard for him to fit into at first actually. Being homeless was always a task, weather it be finding the time to do laundry or staying up all night paranoid of your surrounding but he eventually found his place. When Lilly congratulated him he smirked and nodded. Being one of the youngest leaders at school was always a good thing, it just proved he knew what he was doing and had dreams in his mind. "Thank you, took me a year to nail it but I did. I found passion in dancing since I was young, took classes and everything. Me and Bianca decided that hip hop music, was more upbeat and fun so we base a lot of dances on that style of dance." Brandon admitted, he and Bianca always saw the fun elements of dancing and tried to strive for greatness. They even helped the power squad at times, though Brandon would never call himself a cheerleader. He shook his head at his inner thoughts and looked back to Lilly.
"So enough about dance, they say your a transfer student what was your old school like?" Brandon said, he liked getting to know and make friends with people he'd be working close with. Her eyes were amazing, he couldn't help to stair at the blue color as he chewed his inner cheek. Brandon caught himself and looked to the computer looking over chemistry elements. This crap was boring to say the least. He much rather fool around, and get to know Lilly and he'd finish this stuff some other time. "Stupid chemistry." Brandon mumbled to himself looking back to Lilly. "Your lucky you don't have this class til next year." Brandon teased.

Lilly chuckled at Brandon's comment about how long it took him to get captain. "Isn't a year the least amount of time it would take someone to get captain in a team? That's impressive and half the time it doesn't happen." She smiled again, tilting her head and holding back another chuckle. She nodded as he continued, her smile widening slightly when she heard he'd taken dance classes since he was young. At least someone knew what that felt like, not everyone danced like that. The hip-hop thing still worried her but she didn't say anything. She didn't know if Bianca had told him that when she danced for her it'd been everything but hip-hop. What he said was true, it was certainly upbeat, but it was hard too. At least for her it was, the dance was so grounded. It was the opposite of what she trained for, but at least it was a challenge.
"They are right," she told him. "I was only at my old high school for one month, I basically just got to see my old friends from middle school in a few classes and begin to get to know the rest." Lilly's smile had slowly disappeared but she wasn't complaining. It was a bitter truth and she wasn't happy about it but it wasn't something she'd dwell on. Degrassi seemed great and she had already met some new people she could be friends with. She didn't feel like she belonged yet, but she was sure that'd change eventually. She just slumped into her computer chair slightly and shrugged. There wasn't much to say about her old school.
"Oh, come on," Lilly teased, "it can't be that ba-" The brunette leaned over to take a look at Brandon's computer and her eyes widened. "That sucks," she admitted as she sat back again, giggling. She barely understood half of what he had up. "Finally, there's something positive about being a niner. One more reason to love being a freshman." She grinned, amused.

Brandon listened to Lilly talk about his dance skills and he smirked, the reason he was captain was because he knew what he was doing on the team. He owned leadership qualities and Bianca wasn't around much of last year so he was forced to. Brandon and Bianca had different styles of dance and the worked well together not to mention they were best friends. "Yeah, I guess you can call it impressive. I call it skill." Brandon said confident jotting down a couple notes in his note book. Brandon spun around in his chair a couple times looking over at Lilly, she explained about her old school and it made since how she must have been feeling. She wasn't really missing that one month. "I know how you feel, I moved here freshman year as well, and I'm not even from Canada. So starting over new...with a completely fresh start was interesting. Adjusting and finding yourself is the fun part." Brandon explained spinning around on the chair.
When Lilly moved closer to see what was irritating him he looked into her eyes. "I told you, its like a foreign language" Brandon admitted with a smile. "We should do something, get out of here maybe go to the orchards, they have seasonal attractions already and apple picking!" Brandon suggested, he didn't mind skipping school every once in a while but he was unsure of Lilly's feelings on it. "You down?" Brandon asked excited, his natural hyperactivity kicking in.

Lilly couldn't help laughing at Brandon's comment about skill. She shouldn't have stroked his ego but his reaction made her laugh. Both the captains of the dance team were really friendly, it was making her feel better even though she was probably destined to fail at hip-hop. She nodded as he spoke, smiling slightly as she felt better knowing he knew exactly how she felt. He was right about finding yourself though, that was definitely something Lilly was trying to do. She started, it was tough but not impossible.
"It really is," Lilly said, laughing as she looked back at Brandon's screen again. "That's just not in English at all." She was going to hate chemistry. she could just tell. It looked so difficult and she had enough trouble as it is with school. Suddenly, Brandon suggested they ditch school and check out some seasonal attractions, just making Lilly laugh more. "Apple picking?" she asked him, amused. She couldn't believe he was asking her to skip school for apple picking. She couldn't be getting into trouble already. He seemed so excited though, she really couldn't say no. It sounded like way more fun than the few classes she had left. "Alright, you're on," Lilly said with a grin.

Brandon looked at her at her comment about English and he smirked to himself. "True story." He said simply and when she agreed to skip with him he smiled and nodded. "We all need a little fun right?" Brandon said as he shut down the computer, he gathered his things and stood up, "Now the key is to be sneaky, we'll stop at your locker then mine then go to the gym, and get out the emergency exit." Brandon stated the game plan and stood up and after Lilly gathered her things he slide his hand into hers and walked out of the computer lab. He walked to his locker tossing his stuff in then he let Lilly lead him to hers. He heard walking and saw principal Simpson and grabbed Lilly pulling her into the boy's bathroom. Brandon looked at Lilly, the rush of anxiety kicking in. "You feel that! Oh we are going to have so much fun Lilly!" Brandon said before peeking out the bathroom. "The coast is clear." Brandon said looking over his shoulder at Lilly. "Let's make a run for it!" Brandon suggested as he opened the door taking Lilly's hand B lining it to the gym. He was certainly hyper at this point, and when they entered the gym he let go of Lilly's hand though he didn't want to. Once they reached the outside Brandon walked quickly, to get off the campus. When everything seemed okay he smiled at Lilly. "You having fun yet?" He asked with his charming smile, as his dimples sank in his cheeks.
