[Xander Leo Connolley]

Xander stayed after school as he always did, he had been distracted with the theater kids today and though they had no practice or anything they had stayed and done a little improv session which made Xander happy. As he exited the theater though with the rest of his friends, he parted ways and headed out the doors. He didn't quite want to leave yet so he sat on the school steps and pulled out his guitar as he began to strum it and he hummed along with the tune he was playing but when his eyes scanned the area something, well someone caught his eyes and he smiled, he had seen the girl in a class or two he was in, he didn't know much about her but he did know she was a pretty smart and well personalitied girl. He looked over and ceased his playing briefly as he waved to the girl. "Stevie right?" he asked in recollection of her name as he got to his feet, he walked over to her and looked her over,"What keeps you here this late?" he asked in curiosity.

Stevie rarely stayed after school very often. Only when she wanted to avoid something and that something today was one of her brothers girlfriends. She was a dumb blond type that really irked her nerves for some reason. The girl was too overly friendly when Stevie's brother was around and then when he wasn't she would always while about something. That's what brought Stevie to the front steps of degrassi she wanted to finish writing some song lyrics without being interrupted at home. She walked down a few steps, then she sat down and pulled her notebook out of her book bag.

She heard the strumming of a guitar and watched a guy playing. She didn't even notice she was humming along with the song. She saw him in a few of her classes I think his name was Xander. He seemed like an alright guy she never had a chance to talk to him before."Stevie right?"he asked as he walked up."What keeps you here this late?"He asked her. She quickly looked up and smiled."Yeah, your Xander right?"She asked a bit uneasy thinking she might of got his name wrong." I Didn't feel like going home just yet. My brother is home and I think he might want a little alone time with his girlfriend. You know what I mean."She said with a slight smirk forming on her lips.

He sat beside her and glanced over at the writing she had in her lap and he tilted his head as he rested his guitar on his knee,"Yup, you guessed correctly on the name" he said with a grin as he tried to make out the writing and squinted for a moment. He caught her voice and speaking of her brother's girlfriend and he scrunched his nose in a slightly distasted manner,"Well then maybe you made the right choice, I know I wouldn't want to be at my house with someone doing that" he said as he chuckled. He finally decided he would ask what the writing she was doing was,"What ya writing there if ya don't mind me asking?" he said pulling his eyes up to look into her pretty eyes. He almost let a pink color touch his cheeks but managed to prevent it as he ruffled his hair before setting his arm back down against the curve of his guitar,"Sorry, I'm kind of the curious type, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" he told her as he glanced over at the parking lot and then back into her eyes with a charming smile plastered on his face.

Stevie titled her head like she was caught in thought shaking her head. Even the thought of thinking she would be in the same house with that going on mad her sick to her stomach. Sure she loved her brother, but she didn't love him that much. She tilted her notebook towards Xander so he could get a better look at it."A new song I'm working on. I just can't seem to get the chorus right."Her pen tapped against the paper in annoyance. Stevie didn't write love songs and she didn't know one thing about it either."I don't mind I just think that I really suck a love songs."She smirked and crossed her arms."If you think you can save this song show me."Stevie handed him the notebook as she looked in his eyes. She had to admit that Xander had some really nice eyes."Wow you already gave me an idea with those pretty eyes of you's ."A cute smile reaching her lips. Her cheeks slightly warmed up after seeing such a charming smile. It's not every day Stevie gets to talk to a cute guy. Looks like today was her lucky day. She had to thank her brother once she got home."It's nothing wrong with being curious I think everyone's like that. So what's got you here so late after school a club or something?"She said while placing her hands on her chin. She was a little interested in what was going on around Degrassi even a little gossip?

He looked her over as she spoke giving a slightly false heart broken look and he chuckled lightly when she handed him the notebook. He glanced over it before she spoke again something about his eyes and he pulled his eyes from the page and looked into her eyes, the smile that crossed his lips touched his eyes. "Well I can tell you what Stevie, it looks like a great start" he said as he handed her the notebook back but he rested his guitar on his knee better and began to strum a slightly saddenned melancholy for her to go along with the words he had read in her book,"Just make it something that feels right, even if it doesn't sound right at the moment, it will get there"

[/color] he assured her as he beat his thumbs against the body of the guitar between strums. He finally stopped and raised an eyebrow at her,"Oh, I'm in that Romeo and Jules musical thing, had to stay back for a dress rehearsal, you're lookin at Romeo himself" he said smiling. He looked around before getting to his feet and offerring the girl his hand,"Well I have a little music studio in my basement at home if you would like to come by, I can help you with that there song Stevie, seeing as your brother is occupying your home unpleasantly" he said as he chuckled lightly.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Stevie giggle when Xander gave her a heart broken look. She never had anyone look over her work before it was kind of a strange thing for her. Biting the inside of her cheek as she watched Xander look over her work. A huge grin appeared on her lips when he told her what he thought."You really think so?"Stevie took back her notebook and looked over the song lyrics one my time humming while Xander played his guitar. It did look like she had a good start so far and if Xander continued with the help she was sure the song would be perfect. She nodded when he told her to make it something that felt right. Now that was something she never thought about before. All her songs where something that either happened to her before or a spur of the moment type of thing."So with a little more work and a little tweaks here and there it could be perfect."Stevie pat Xander on the back and smiled."So I'm in front of one of the leads in the play, what an honor. "Stevie took his hand standing up and gave him a small curtsy bowing her head down playfully. When he brought up her brother Stevie made a sick face, she completely forgot about him."Yeah I rather be in your music studio with you then going back home right now."She smiled and laughed with him.
