Personality: Jake is a Marine brat. He is somewhat cocky about his physical appearance and can seem arrogant at times. He is not always serious, Jake likes to make things humorous, because he does like to see his friends smile. He is also quite sarcastic and and likes to backtalk. He likes to make up excuses to get out of doing things. He is outgoing, and open minded when it comes to most things. Jake likes to talk, he could talk your ear off. The boy can also take the spot light when it comes to being the center of attention. When Jake is threatened or around someone that is bulling him, he tends to get aggressive and pissed quite easily. Jake can be friendly, he likes to socialize especially when he is drawing. Jay has a hidden talent when it comes to art, you wouldn't think because he is always involved with sports but he loves to impress people with his art work. Jake is a competitor when it comes to all he does, he doesn't like to lose point blank. He can get pretty protective of the ones he is close to and doesn't like to let go of friendships. Jake is book smart, he can be nerdy with his belief in aliens and fictional stories. The boy is quite versatile, he doesn't like to stick to one 'click' of people he tends to float around.
Jake has post traumatic stress disorder due to his past, when having one of these moments he tends to distance himself for the safety of those around him. Most of the times, he suffers from insomnia due to the fact he is scared to dream. He really isn't open with his past unless he is wicked close to someone. Jake is pretty proper when it comes to introductions because of the way he was raised in his older years. His father is currently preparing him for the marine corp and though he has mixed emotions about it, he might be forced to make his father proud and join.
Overall Appearance:Jake physically is muscular, he spends a lot of his time working out toning his body. He stands 5'8. Jake has light brown eyes with almost black hair that he likes to keep clean cut. Jake wears his dog tags where ever he goes, in fear his father will punish him for taking them off. He wears skater logos hoodies and shirts. He likes to wear Dickie pants, skinny, cargo shorts, basketball shorts, sweat pants when working out. History: Jake was the son of a marine, though he never knew his father as a child due to the fact his father was facing active duty in the war he wished he'd meet him one day. Every birthday for 9 years he'd wish for his father to come to his parties but with a lot of disappointment he grew hopeless. At age 10 Jay was introduced to his mother's boyfriend, see his mother was a junky and didn't pay him much mind so he grew to be somewhat independent. Through the first year Jake distanced himself from the new man of the house, he saw the way the guy looked at him and he became scared. His first year of middle school was the worst, he was popular made friends easily and played sports but every night he'd come home to his mother nodding out on the couch. His soon to be step father was a pill head with a love for alcohol. Jake suffered from physical abuse then it became sexual. The thoughts discussed him so he tried to stay away from home as long as possible. This scared him and made him colder to the world.
Jake went through this for years, telling his mother and she told him he was full of shit. One day he went to school with unexplained bruises and his teacher had him see the guidance councilor. Jay remained silent, so he was told to have anger problems, due to a couple past fights. Finally one day he went home, he found his mother ODed on heroin on the bathroom floor, and after he made the call to the ambulance he was placed into a psychiatric ward to recover from trauma. There his cards unfolded, and he was found to have PTSD. The boy stayed there for a little over a year, then one day he got a visit from a man. His father, in full Marine corps dress blues with the adoption papers ready. Jake moved back to Toronto with his father and started high school. He was old enough to be a sophomore but they kept him back due to his lack of knowledge from being admitted for a year. Now he is a Junior at Degrassi involved with some sports teams in clubs and seems to be coming out oh his depression. Jay's father is still a marine and forces his son to live the life style as well in his home life.
