Waking up this morning was a bit rough, he and Caleb had got into another fight for sticking up for himself. The swelling on his eye had went down but nothing was covering the bruised purple ring around his eye. Brad sighed and looked into the mirror, he couldn't just ask his mother for make up could he? He was bi she was aware of this but that was a little to gay if you asked his opinion. School, he was some what late. As he tossed on his gark gray skinny jeans and his button down black shirt. He topped off his outfit with his studded belt and his black and white converse sneakers. Now it was off to school, at this point he only had his permit, not that he was thrilled to drive anyway. High ways and bridges scared him. Brad walked down stairs and grabbed the keys off the rack awaiting his mother. Brad grabbed his messenger bag and waited in the car, he stuck the key in the ignition and when he was accompanied by his parental unit he drove to Degrassi. She questioned him about his eye, and he claimed a fight after his lacrosse game.
Brad sighed and got out of the car walking up the stairs and upon his entrance, as if things couldn't get any worst he sees Ms. Robyne, the guidance councilor. To no surprise she want to talk and get confessions out of him. Yet Brad was keen he just explained to her what he did his own mother. "Listen you, don't need to worry just a soar loser at yesterdays game nothing serious." He explained. After that he had a few classes and instead of going to lunch he'd spend that period in the theater. Though he and Xander had the main roles in the musical he decided he needed to look through the script and cast some more parts. Brad walked into the theater and looked at the script seeing Eli had made it so Miss Bennett was playing Tybult. Brad smiled at that and looked through the other cast. This was going to be a task the nurse, he needed a girl, who could sing now where would he find one. Brad listened to the foot steps and looked behind him seeing the newest addition to the drama club. "Lilly, what can I help you with?" Brad asked raising his eyebrow.

Lilly was sure that on TV audition day was just about the happiest day in a theater nerd's life. You were supposed to be singing karaoke in your mind as you walk in the halls, dancing like you've won the lottery. The problem with that is, usually the nerds on TV are perfectly sure of their talent. In reality, all you do is stress out about how you think you'll mess up.
Lilly lucked out because it was a musical. It wasn't just acting, which she was amateur at. It was singing, she'd sung for years in church choir just after her mother died. She'd stopped, but it didn't mean she lost the training. Singing was something she was ok in. She could live, if she had dancing involved somewhere, she'd look great. Unfortunately, she hadn't heard about that being a requirement, so the talent was extraneous and did not give her the upper hand she so wanted.
Regardless, she figured she would have to make it through today if she wanted something to do. Walking into the theater, Lilly debated how to greet and ask the boy in the theater, she knew it was one of the theater directors. He'd heard her enter and asked her what she wanted when she wasn't prepared, so she stammered an answer. "I was just wondering when auditions are supposed to be. I heard some kids got cast already and I'm guessing I missed a date or something." Lilly paused looking closer at Bradley. "You look awful," she couldn't help admitting, "are you alright?"

The musical, it had been set and though Xander and he had that bad day the boys recovered and ended up keeping their roles. "Yes, that is right. I don't usually sing but I'll be playing Jules and Xander Connolley with be playing Romeo." Brad explained showing her some of the main roles were cased. When he mentioned names he figured she would know of whom he was talking about since she was a drama club member. "I haven't done much casting other then that with the exception of Ana playing Tybult." Brad stated trying to be professional and when his face was brought into attention he looked down and ruffled his hair. Sometimes he really disliked his boyfriend, this was one of those moments. Brad skimmed his bottom lip with his teeth and looked back up to Lilly, he didn't want to leave her hanging. "Well, I got into a fight..with some kid after yesterday's lacrosse game." Brad said, he was good at hiding his emotions most of the time, yet the past few days he wasn't being himself. Lying wasn't one of his past times either. He was brutally honest most of the time. "Soar loser I guess." Brad said clearing his throat. Did he really look that bad? Brad walked back and forth a bit was he alright? No of course he wasn't alright, his emotions were being battered and he was enduring physical abuse. "Yeah, I'll be fine." Brad said, his smile was reassuring yet fake at the same time.
Brad looked over the script. "Thanks for asking, how are you?" Bradley asked. He was trying not to rush into talking about the play right away. He didn't want to scare the girl off. He wondered if she could sing though but that was after introductions. Getting into the drama club was mainly about acting and dancing so he was sure Eli had seen that side of the girl. Brad walked to the stage and sat on the steps petting the spot beside him awaiting Lilly to join him. When she did he looked around at the theater seating arrangement. "This is going to be a great production, though people are homophobic they are just going to have to deal with it because I don't plan on backing down." Brad said determined. He was just venting, thinking out loud. "What do you think about Eli's interpretation of the play?" Brad asked he wanted to know Lilly's feelings about the altered musical.

Turns out the drama club didn't do much casting, thankfully. Lilly thought she'd missed her opportunity. She knew about Xander and Bradley getting cast as the leads already. The petite brunette liked the twist on the play. She was happy to hear only 3 characters were cast so far. She was so sure she wouldn't make it in time but a lot of roles were still open. She wasn't sure what role she wanted to audition for or if she'd even get one when she did. At least she was sure she could sing and dance. Acting was a bit her weak spot since she'd never tried it before.
Lilly felt bad because she assumed she'd made Bradley uncomfortable with her questioning and remarks. She felt she couldn't help mentioning the black eye, considering some times when she was taken aback, all of her tact flew out the window. She wasn't used to seeing the result of fights, and she couldn't imagine how he'd look like that because of an accident. It had to be because of someone else. He finally answered, telling her it was from someone on the losing team of a game. The freshman was suddenly glad she didn't join competitive sports. Girls could be just as nasty, she knew.
"Well, at least you still won. Nothing they do can take that away from you," she told him, trying to cheer him up. Something about the way he reacted made her curious though, and a bit suspicious that he was hiding something. Maybe he just knew what team member did it and didn't want to report them. She could understand that, so she just hoped it wouldn't happen to him again.
"I think back in the prop room there's a bit of stage makeup. It's a bit girly, but it could cover that up for you if you don't want to be asked about it all day." She offered a kind smile. She walked up to sit next to Bradley on the steps. "I'm fine," she shrugged. She didn't have much going on, the week had been pretty drama free. She didn't have much to say until Bradley brought up the musical. Lilly nodded in agreement referring to the play's success and listened as Bradley expressed his opinion. She was surprised to be asked about her own opinion, as she hadn't thought much about it. She just knew she liked the change.
After a moment, she spoke up. "I just think it's about time," she admitted. "I always expected changes like this would begin happening, it's great that this school is the one starting it. And I think the people resisting it are just going to make this a hell of a lot more fun."
