He wasn't sure why he had let her talk him into coming into the woods, he hated the woods ever since the whole bad bear experience, though there would be no bears in these set of woods, he still didn't like it. He had followed her through the trees, losing sight of her here and there when he finally gave up and sat down with his back against a tree, his head tilting back to look up at the stars that were dotting the sky,"Is there a reason you dragged me all the way out here Chloe?" he hollered through the air not knowing exactly where she had slipped off to.He closed his eyes and rested one of his arms against his knee he had bent up,"You didn't come out here to like kill me or like take advantage of me did ya?" he teased with a chuckle listening to the leaves rustle and crunch between her petite feet, knowing she wasn't far.

The leaves crunching under her feet and the smell of fresh air in her lungs had her mind at ease. She hadn't spent enough time with Kade recently. It was eating as her, the thought of him being smothered by girls all day made her sick. Chloe had lost him walking and when he was at the she marched up to him adoring eye set on him the way he liked it. "A reason, I need to have a reason for hanging out with my best friend?" She asked cocking her head as she leaned into him looking up into his eyes. "As for taking advantage of you, I think the little girls your smothered by at school do enough of that." She said backing up a bit. She had liked him, he understood her and her him yet something would always keep that apart. Crunching leaves, she stayed still and listened a bit more and then she reached for her pocket grabbing her throwing knife and she chucked it behind her pinning a small squirrel to the tree. Chloe smiled and directed her attention back to Kade. "I never miss." She said with a half smirk walking up to it ripping her knife out. The look of satisfaction crossed her lips at the blood and she grabbed a leaf and wiped it off joining Kade once again. "We barely have hung out, I mean I know you have a life. But I want to be part of it, like more." She explained pushing her long black hair behind her ears. She hadn't meant to come off to him like a bitch yet at times she thought that to be the best way to deal with him. Maybe was was wrong, she walked up to Kade grabbing from the back of his neck so he was face to face with her. She rested her forehead on his. "I just miss you, and I want to know what's going on with ..us.." She stopped herself from talking and switched her word choice. "You, whats new anything, homelife, school?" Chloe asked looking deep into his eyes.

He found her really close to his face and her hand on the back of his neck, he listened to her voice and he looked into her eyes. He knew what she meant and he sighed softly, he couldn't help it between football and hockey, the girls and his boys. He sighed and sucked his teeth briefly before he nodded and reached up twirling a lock of her hair around his index finger. "I'm sorry Chloe I really am, I'll make more time for you..us...you" he said as he smirked knowing she had almost asked him what happened happened to them. He smiled and he pulled her down into his lap and wrapped his arms around her waist resting his chin on her shoulder,"Roadtrip this weekend? Will that make you feel better?" he asks softly hoping it would make her happy.

Kade's words and reassurance caused her to smile and she tilted her head to the side adoring him for a moment. His mocking made her smile and she stuck out her tongue at him playfully. No one really saw that free spirited, sweet side of her. Yet something about him made it okay. Chloe was pulled into his lap and she put his arm around him and traced shapes on his muscular back. "No need to be sorry, just don't let it happen again." She replied with a wink. The thing was. she knew he was busy but when he mentioned a road trip she cocked her head. "Your serious? Hell yeah. I'd love me and you time on the open road with no set destination." She said leaning into him. She felt safe gazing into his eyes, feeling protective set with mixed emotions. "So that's this weekend, what are we doing today?" Chloe asked cocking her head, she let her hand roam to the back of his head and she ran her fingers through his hair soothingly. "I mean I could go for some drinks and something to eat. Maybe go back to your house and chill for a bit." She suggested. There was no harm in hanging out for a while. She couldn't think of anything she had better to do to say the least.

He looked her over and he sucked his teeth, she never seemed fully pleased but he didn't fully mind as long as she catered to him which she usually did. He tilted his head back glancing briefly up at the dotted starry sky. "Ok, Ok Chloe, I'll take you to dinner alright?" he asked as he got to his feet putting her on her own feet. He grinned for a moment and grabbed her throwing her over his shoulder and carrying her through the trees, he wasn't in the mood for her hide and seek games at the moment. when they reached the parking lot he put her down and opened the passenger door of his Audi for her. When she was situated he got in and started the car,"Little Miss Steaks?" he asked and didn't wait for an answer as he drove that way. He knew that he could sweet talk the waitresses there for drinks no problem. He parked and got out opening her door again before walking inside with her and over to a booth where he sat across from her,"Whatever you want Chloe, anything" he assured her airily.
